A&D Quinta De Santa Teresa Curtimenta 2022

Prices start from £23.00 per bottle Buying options

This smooth orange wine comes from a family-owned winery in Baiao, a small subregion inside Vinho Verde, Portugal. The grape, Avesso, is a rare indigenous variety considered the next star of the appellation. Quinta de Santa Teresa Curtimenta does a great job showcasing this exciting grape. The wine greets you with a gorgeous amber colour and generous aromas of mango, apricots, along with elegant hints of thyme, beeswax and almonds. With good structure, subtle tannins, as well as delicious flavours of dried and fresh apricots, it is a real joy to drink.

The vineyards are planted on granitic soils with some schist, at 200 metres above sea level. Harvested by hand, the grapes spent 2 weeks macerating on the skins, with natural fermentation in stainless steel. This was followed by 5 months on the lees and partial ageing in oak barrels for 6 months. The wine was bottled unfiltered.
