Adega de Borba is one of Portugal's benchmark cooperatives, founded over 60 years ago, from the coming together of thirteen Alentejo winegrowers. Since then, the cooperative's mission remains unchanged: promoting the Alentejo wine region and its unique grapes. Convento da Vila wine range emerged as a tribute to Servas Convent. Located in Borba, it is one of the most admirable monuments of the town’s historic zone.

Adega de Borba

Adega de Borba is found in the region of Alentejo, in southern Portugal. Founded in 1955 by thirteen local producers, it quickly became one of Portugal's benchmark cooperatives. Today, Adega de Borba brings together 300 grape growers who cultivate nearly 2,000 hectares of grapes. Since its foundation, the quality of wines has only been improving, while the cooperative's mission remains unchanged: promoting the Alentejo region and its unique grapes.

Trincadeira

Trincadeira, a.k.a. Tinta Amarela is a popular Portuguese grape grown mainly in Dao, Douro and Alentejo regions. Despite being notoriously difficult to cultivate, in the right conditions Trincadeira is capable of making deep, richly-flavoured wines with generous notes of blackberries as well as characterful herbaceous aromas. With ample tannins, Trincadeira wines have a good potential to improve in the bottle.
