Davenport Horsmonden Dry White 2022

Prices start from £20.83 per bottle Buying options

This beautifully fragrant white wine comes from one of the oldest organic producers in England. Davenport Horsmonden bursts with aromas of peaches, lemons, sweet grapefruits, notes of blossom and hints of hay. Rich aromatics are matched by a soft broad palate and vivid acidity. The blend includes Bacchus, Ortega, Faber, Siegerrebe and Huxelrebe which merge harmoniously to create a complex, fragrant and balanced dry white wine.

The grapes for Davenport Horsmonden were hand-picked and were wildly fermented. Part of the grapes was vinified in large foudres, massive oak casks traditionally used in Alsace, which gives the wine a really smooth and creamy texture. Horsmonden spent one year in the bottle before being released to the market. This extra year has rounded the edges and brought the flavours to the front. It is a wine that could be kept for another couple of years, or enjoyed in its youth.
