This award-winning English sparkling is made of 50% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir and 20% Pinot Meunier, all organically grown. With 4 years maturing in the bottle on lees, it has plenty of yeast character combined with the surprisingly youthful fruit flavours. Davenport Limney Organic Sparkling 2019 reveals gorgeous notes of apples and pears, both fresh and baked. These are followed by generous aromas of toasted bread and brioche.

On the palate, Davenport Limney Organic Sparkling 2019 is rich and full-bodied. Crisp acidity is supported by dense flavours of cream, honey and hazelnuts. This is a wine that is delicious now and will develop further over the long term. Davenport is one of the oldest organic vineyards in England dating back to 1991.

Chardonnay

Native to Burgundy, Chardonnay is one of the most popular and, perhaps, the most loved grapes in the world. It is one of the world’s 'noble' grape varieties. Chardonnay is one of the main grapes used to produce Champagne, as well as the key grape for English sparkling wines. It thrives in both cooler and warmer climates and is capable of making beautifully complex, elegant and age-worthy wines.
