Havlabari Cellars Mukuzani 2021
Some of the best Georgian reds come from the Mukuzani micro-zone, historically famous for its characterful wines made of Saperavi grape. Often referred to as a hero grape, Saperavi is one of only a handful of varieties worldwide with highly pigmented red flesh as well as skins. In fact, the grape's name is translated as ‘to dye’. Saperavi is famous for its characterful wines of dark, opaque colour. Havlabari Cellars Mukuzani is a refined expression of this grape, as well as of the Mukuzani appellation.
The wine has a gorgeous deep ruby colour and a shows a myriad of aromas. Ripe black cherries, bramble, blueberries, seductive notes of chocolate, coffee and vanilla - just to name a few. With soft tannins, refreshing acidity and a long finish, the palate of Havlabari Cellars Mukuzani is truly exquisite.

Julia Harding, Master of Wine:
“Mid ruby. Smells warm, ripe and slightly earthy. Firm and chewy but also juicy, with a bright bite of acidity. Should be versatile at the table.”
