Havlabari Cellars Rkatsiteli 2021
Rkatsiteli is the most popular Georgian white grape variety, known and cultivated in this country for several millennia. Fragrant and elegant, Havlabari Cellars Rkatsiteli is an outstanding expression of this acclaimed grape. The wine enchants with aromas of apple, lemon, pear, quince and flowers. On the palate, it is crisp and refreshing, with good structure and balance.
The grapes were hand harvested from low-yielding old vines in the Kakheti region of Georgia. Grown on rocky basalt soils, these vines produce high quality grapes with rich concentrated flavours which result in a wonderfully fragrant wine. Havlabari Cellars Rkatsiteli is great on its own as an aperitif. It is also a perfect accompaniment to fish, seafood or, even better, traditional Georgian cheese pie (khachapuri).
