Description

This fresh, juicy orange wine is bursting with aromas of blood oranges and grapefruits as well as delicious notes of tropical fruits. Delicate tannins and a real depth of flavours on the palate make this a real treat for orange wine lovers.

Arnold Holzer is a young winemaker from Wagram, Austria. Since taking over his family estate in 2010, he has become a real driving force of the region's innovative winemaking. His distinctive, vibrant, natural wines earned international love for their complexity and purity of fruit, as well as for their funky labels. For Holzer Ivader Orange, Muller Thurgau grapes were fermented in stainless steel spending about two weeks in contact with the skins. The wine was then pressed and matured for 9 months in steel tanks. Only a tiny amount of sulphites was added before bottling.

Eschenhof Holzer

Fifth-generation winemaker, Arnold Holzer took over the family vineyards in the Austrian region of Wagram in 2010. At that time, he was only 23. Open-minded and passionate, Arnold steered the small 19-hectare organic estate towards a very distinctive style of its own. Holzer wines are bold, fruit-driven and expressive, reflecting the character of the unique terroir: clay soils lying on a bed of ancient marine deposits.

Muller-Thurgau

This white grape was created in Germany in 1882 by crossing two native varieties, Riesling and Madeleine Royale. Muller-Thurgau reputation had its up and downs; for a while this grape was associated with cheap off-dry wines which were widely produced in Germany until the 1980s. However, with the right approach, Muller-Thurgau can make pleasant aromatic white wines with notes of peaches and tropical fruits which has been proven by modern German and Austrian winemakers.
