Description
This skin-contact wine comes from an organic and natural Lebanese winery, located on the highest viticultural hills between 2000 and 2400 meters above the sea level. This part of the world has centuries standing traditions of winemaking. Mersel Phoenix Merwah Skin-Contact 2022 spent weeks in contact with the grape skins, acquiring a beautiful dark golden colour and a depth of flavours. The grapes were fermented in two batches, the first one spent 3 weeks on skins and the other half was pressed directly and fermented wildly. After fermentation these two portions were blended together then bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfite addition.Â
Smooth and well-balanced on the palate, Mersel Phoenix Merwah Skin-Contact 2022 is perfectly enjoyable on its own. It also makes great pairings with flavourful food, such as Middle-Eastern and Lebanese cuisine.Â
