Mildiani Bouquet Qvevri Kisi 2014
This magnificent orange wine was made in Georgian qvevri, the traditional clay amphorae. According to the tradition, in qvevri, the grape juice is fermented together with the grape skins. Because of this, the wine gains a fuller body, tannins and becomes amber in colour. Mildiani Bouquet Qvevri Kisi shows generous flavours of apricot, mango, lime and orange, typical for Kisi, an aromatic indigenous grape. These aromas are enhanced by the secondary, 'qvevri' notes of walnuts, honey and sun-dried herbs. Fresh and full-bodied, the wine has beautifully integrated soft tannins.
Mildiani Bouquet Qvevri Kisi is a great match to both meat and fish and it creates gorgeous pairings with flavourful Moroccan and other Middle Eastern dishes.Â

Julia Harding, Master of Wine:
“Deep, orangey gold. Spicy and golden. Really tannic – the tannins adding to the freshness. Demanding but still balanced between fruit and tannic structure. Chewy, long and cries out for food.”
