This charming wine is made of Georgian indigenous variety, Mtsvane. It is an outstanding introduction to this grape, known for its complex perfume aromas. The grapes for Mildiani Mtsvane were hand-picked from old vines grown in the Kakheti region in south-eastern Georgia. Notes of ripe apple, peach and tropical fruit are matched by fresh minerality and a smooth texture on the palate. Indeed, it is a truly gorgeous expression of Mtsvane variety.

Mildiani Mtsvane makes a great aperitif. At the same time, it can be paired with a variety of dishes: salads, starters, fish and seafood, as well as creamy pasta and chicken.

Mildiani Family Winery

Owned by four brothers, this winery has been the driving force of modern Georgian winemaking since the 1990s. One of the first privately owned wine estates in the country, Mildiani take credit for reviving the qvevri tradition and for bringing international fame to Georgian orange wines. Today this benchmark estate boasts a collection of vineyards across the country and remains family-owned.

Mtsvane

Mtsvane Kakhuri is a white variety from the Kakheti region in the south-eastern Georgia. It may sound confusing but there are six different types of Mtsvane in Georgia, each being named after its origin (e.g. Mtsvane Kakhuri, Mtsvane Goruli etc). Mtsvane Kakhuri is an aromatic variety, making gorgeous flavour-packed wines, either solo or as part of the blend with Rkatsiteli. Also, it is often vinified in qvevri, making gorgeous orange wines.
