Moschopolis Aiora White greets you with an expressive bouquet of tropical fruit, mango, nectarine, pear and citruses. These charming aromas are matched by a rich palate with a gorgeous creamy texture balanced by a vivid acidity. The blend is predominantly Assyrtiko, with smaller proportions of Malagousia and Xinomavro.

The grapes Moschopolis Aiora White were sourced from organically farmed vineyards. The wine was fermented with the indigenous yeasts in a combination of stainless steel tanks and amphorae. Further on, it was matured on lees for 4 months, for a rich mouthfeel and lovely flavours of brioche and custard cream. Bottled unfined and unfiltered to preserve the purity of aromas.

Moschopolis

Standing at an impressive 500 metres in Thessaloniki, northern Greece, you could say that the gods have been smiling upon this unique, family-owned vineyard. Established by the Moschopolis Winery in the nearby village of Monopigado in 2016, it is organically farmed, privately managed, and its close collaboration with neighbouring vineyard owners allows for complete quality control when it comes to the fruit that arrives at the winery.

Assyrtiko

Assyrtiko is the flagship white grape of Greece. This indigenous variety originates from Santorini, where it grows on dark volcanic soils in extreme weather conditions. Some very old vines of Assyrtiko are found on Santorini. Often, these are ungrafted, growing on their own rootstock. Assyrtiko makes complex white wines with crisp minerality, tremendous freshness and a good ageing potential.
