Description

This stunning, full-bodied red comes from vineyards grown at extreme altitudes, up to 1,450 metres above sea level. The grape is Areni Noir, known as the “king of Armenian grapes”. Hand-crafted by one of Armenia's top boutique producers, Old Bridge Grand Reserve Areni Noir 2009 is a wine of tremendous character and depth. Complex aromas of black cherries and blackberries, both fresh and dry, are followed by inviting notes of coffee, chocolate, spice, smoke and leather. On the palate, a myriad of flavours are matched by silky tannins and an outstandingly long finish.

Old Bridge Grand Reserve Areni Noir 2009 was aged in Armenian oak for 24 months. Further on, it was matured in the bottle, in the cool of the cellar. This is a seriously refined Areni Noir which had the time to evolve, therefore the balance is impeccable. Old Bridge is ranked amongst the top producers of outstanding, age-worthy Areni Noir wine in Armenia. Old vintages of Old Bridge Grand Reserve Areni Noir are extremely rare and sought after.
