Description

This harmonious wine is made of the most ancient Armenian grape, Areni Noir, and produced using the traditional Armenian winemaking method. Rikars Arag Areni Noir 2018 was fermented in big clay amphorae (karases), which are over 300 years old. Nevertheless, it is incredibly modern in its style. Aromas of fresh cherries are accompanied by elegant notes of mint and eucalyptus, as well as by elegant spicy and smoky undertones. On the palate, Rikars Arag Areni Noir shows a gorgeous silky texture, soft tannins and fresh acidity. It is a refined and precise expression of the Areni Noir variety.

Rikars is a young and highly promising winery. An Italian winemaker, Federico Renzi, has brought the international expertise and is successfully combining it with the local traditions.
