Schlehe Amber 2021

This Austrian orange wine reveals an expressive bouquet of stone fruits, apricots and ripe golden plums. On the palate, Schlehe Amber shows plenty of character, with generous fruit flavours complimented by spicy notes, velvety tannins and ample freshness. A very intriguing wine and a great introduction to orange winemaking.

After a manual harvest and a careful grape selection, Schlehe Amber was whole bunch pressed and fermented in stainless steel, spending almost a month in contact with the skins. The wine was matured in both big and small barrels, and bottled unfined and unfiltered, hence a slight cloudiness. Pair this beautiful natural wine with roast pork with apples and cheesy mushrooms.
