Van Ardi Areni Hakhtanak Kakhet Blend Magnum 2019
A small family owned winery, Van Ardi hand craft their boutique quality wines with unparalleled attention to detail. Unsurprisingly, the winery is often referred to as the flagship project of the Armenian wine renaissance. Van Ardi Areni Hakhtanak Kakhet is a blend of three indigenous grapes. The wine opens up with a myriad of fruit and floral aromas, followed by delicate coffee and chocolate notes. With a silky texture, this wine is elegant and refined, with a long and pleasant aftertaste. Easy drinking, smooth, yet so complex, it is one of our hits.
The grapes for Van Ardi Areni Hakhtanak Kakhet blend come from high altitude vineyards, grown at the foothills of Aragats, the highest mountain in Armenia. This wine is a great companion to meat dishes, as well as to hearty soups and roasted vegetables.

Robert Parker Wine Advocate:
Straightforward and fruity, this has a nod to Beaujolais, but it tastes great and has some structure… Drink it a little cooler than normal, perhaps, for best results.
