This elegant red is made of Areni Noir, the most ancient and the most renowned Armenian grape. It comes from a small family-run winery nestled at the foothills of mount Aragats, the highest mountain in the country. The winery, Van Ardi, is often referred to as the flagship project of the Armenian wine renaissance. Van Ardi Areni Reserve 2021 reveals aromas of fresh dark cherries accompanied by lush notes of chocolate and oak. Aged to perfection in Armenian oak barrels, it is bold and smooth at the same time.

Fresh, harmonious and rich on the palate, Van Ardi Areni Reserve 2021 has a serious structure suggesting a great ageing potential. A wonderful companion to exquisite dishes, such as game, venison and truffles.

Areni Noir

Alfa and omega of the Armenian winemaking, Areni Noir, or simply Areni, is the signature grape of this country. It is also one of the world's most ancient grape varieties – more than 6,000 years old!
