A small family owned winery, Van Ardi hand craft their boutique quality wines with unparalleled attention to detail. Unsurprisingly, the winery is often referred to as the flagship project of the Armenian wine renaissance. Tor-Tori is the name of a long-forgotten Armenian variety. While Van Ardi Tor-Tori Areni is based on another Armenian grape, Areni Noir, its name pays tribute to the country’s long winemaking history.

The wine was made with minimum intervention, allowing the fruity aromas and flavours of the grapes truly shine. Notes of dark berries and juicy plum are followed by playful hints of black pepper, coffee and chocolate. Delicious in the mouth, with velvety tannins and plenty of character Van Ardi Tor-Tori Areni is a real crowd pleaser. It is easy to drink and shows a real depth.

Areni Noir

Alfa and omega of the Armenian winemaking, Areni Noir, or simply Areni, is the signature grape of this country. It is also one of the world's most ancient grape varieties – more than 6,000 years old! Today this unique variety is responsible for some of the best Armenian reds. Elegant, complex and fresh, these wines burst with aromas of red fruit, which has led to Areni being nicknamed the “Armenian Pinot Noir”.
