Van Ardi Tor-Tori Voskehat 2019
A small family owned winery, Van Ardi hand craft their boutique quality wines with unparalleled attention to detail. Unsurprisingly, the winery is often referred to as the flagship project of the Armenian wine renaissance. Tor-Tori is the name of a long-forgotten Armenian variety. While Van Ardi Tor-Tori Voskehat is made of another Armenian grape, Voskehat, the wine's name pays tribute to the country’s long winemaking history. A beautiful multilayered white, it has a light golden hue and an intense bouquet of sweet exotic fruit. Notes of lychee, pears, and honeycomb are complimented by hints of a sweet, slightly musky vanilla fragrance. Fresh on the palate it has a medium body and a long finish.
Van Ardi Tor-Tori Voskehat is a great aperitif and can be enjoyed with a variety of dishes. Vibrant acidity makes it a wonderful companion to white fish and seafood. At the same time, the wine has enough substance to be paired with quiche, roast chicken, creamy pasta and risotto, or, indeed, pork sausages.

Julia Harding, Master of Wine
“Interesting aroma, with a mealy/leesy impression and ripe stone fruits. Interesting flavour too, creamy vanilla even without any oak. Soft, smooth, full in the mouth.”
