This charming wine captivates with its fragrant bouquet of ripe, sweet citruses combined with golden apples and pears. On the palate, it is soft and harmonious, yet lively and fresh. Kisi is an intriguingly aromatic Georgian grape, cultivated for at least several centruries. Vaziani Kisi is a great introduction to this unique variety, known for its sweet flavours paired with a vibrant palate.

The grapes were hand-picked and meticulously sorted before a brief maceration on the skins and fermentation in stainless steel. Pair Vaziani Kisi with mild cheeses, vegetable pies, artichokes or roast chicken.

These are ancient winemaking traditions, several millennia old. The country boasts more than 8,000 vintages, nevertheless Georgian wines have come to world wine map only recently - which makes them even more exciting to try!

Vaziani

This family-run winery was established in 1982 in Kakheti – the oldest and the most prominent Georgian wine region. Since then, the winery had been passed to the next generation and is now run by the founder's sons, Irakli, Mikhail and Barbale Iashvili. Vaziani winery tends 120 hectares of vineyards on the left bank of the Alazani river. The winery's focus on modern, fruit-forward wines made of native Georgian grapes brought them international recognition and multiple wine awards.

Kisi

Kisi is a rare but a rather exciting white indigenous variety. It comes from Kakheti region in the south-eastern Georgia. Despite its potential to produce high quality wines, during the Soviet era Kisi plantings became almost extinct. Kisi is often fermented in Georgian qvevri, making rich and complex amber wines. It also makes fragrant European-style whites.
