Krakhuna is a rare Georgian grape, indigenous to western Georgia. In local dialect, the name of the grape means 'crisp' referring to the wine's vivid, fresh character. Vaziani Krakhuna creates marvelous pairings with all types of fish and seafood.

Vaziani

This family-run winery was established in 1982 in Kakheti – the oldest and the most prominent Georgian wine region. Since then, the winery had been passed to the next generation and is now run by the founder's sons, Irakli, Mikhail and Barbale Iashvili. Vaziani winery tends 120 hectares of vineyards on the left bank of the Alazani river. The winery's focus on modern, fruit-forward wines made of native Georgian grapes brought them international recognition and multiple wine awards.

Krakhuna

Krakhuna is an ancient Georgian white grape indigenous to Imereti, in the western part of the country. The name Krakhuna means 'crispy' in the Imeretian dialect. Krakhuna wines reveal distinctive, rich aromas of ripe bananas, apricots and honey. When Krakhuna is vinified in qvevri, these aromas are complimented by flavours of tropical fruits and aromatic herbs. With their broad structure, these wines have a great potential to develop in the bottle.
