This beautiful aromatic blend of two grapes has resulted in an outstanding wine expressive of ripe lemon zest, juicy apples, ripe peaches and apricots with gentle honeysuckle, acacia and other wild flowers. On the palate, high acidity and vivacity is balanced by the complexity of flavours. Vaziani Mtsvane - Khikhvi was born at the scenic vineyards of the Kakheti region in south-eastern Georgia. The grapes were hand-picked and carefully selected prior to fermentation in temperature controlled steel tanks. Pair Vaziani Mtsvane - Khikhvi with fish and seafood dishes.

Vaziani

This family-run winery was established in 1982 in Kakheti – the oldest and the most prominent Georgian wine region. Since then, the winery had been passed to the next generation and is now run by the founder's sons, Irakli, Mikhail and Barbale Iashvili. Vaziani winery tends 120 hectares of vineyards on the left bank of the Alazani river. The winery's focus on modern, fruit-forward wines made of native Georgian grapes brought them international recognition and multiple wine awards.

Mtsvane

Mtsvane Kakhuri is a white variety from the Kakheti region in the south-eastern Georgia. It may sound confusing but there are six different types of Mtsvane in Georgia, each being named after its origin (e.g. Mtsvane Kakhuri, Mtsvane Goruli etc). Mtsvane Kakhuri is an aromatic variety, making gorgeous flavour-packed wines, either solo or as part of the blend with Rkatsiteli. Also, it is often vinified in qvevri, making gorgeous orange wines.
