Description

Mukuzani is a Georgian appellation famous for deep, powerful red wines made of Saperavi grape. This ancient Georgian variety is known for its opaque, dark colour, its bold flavours and a robust structure. Vaziani Mukuzani opens up in the glass with generous aromas of black forest fruits, followed by subtle notes of spices. Fruit-forward and juicy, it has a soft palate with ripe, velvety tannins and ample freshness.

The grapes were hand picked at Vaziani winery own vineyards in the Kakheti region of Georgia. Pair Vaziani Mukuzani with roast lamb, grilled meat, pizza or charcuterie platter.

Julia Harding, Master of Wine:

“Mid-to-deep crimson. Both red and black fruits and warm spice. Tangy, like mulberries. Firmly chewy tannins giving a perfect frame for the sweet but tangy fruit. Wholehearted.”
