Description

Rkatsiteli is an ancient Georgian grape which, according to the legend, was the first vine planted by Noah after the flood. Today, this aromatic grape makes the majority of Georgian white wine production. Vaziani Rkatsiteli expresses inviting bouquet of tropical fruits with delicate ripe pears, melon and lychees on palate. This is a light yet sophisticated wine with balanced acidity and a long finish.

The grapes were hand-picked at Vaziani winery own vineyards in Kakheti region of Georgia. Manual harvest was followed by a rigorous selection process and fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Vaziani Rkatsiteli makes a wonderful aperitif and can also be matched with a variety of dishes, such as vegetable salads, white fish and seafood.

Julia Harding, Master of Wine:

“Pear and yellow plum. Firm, chewy texture; the texture as well as the acidity giving freshness. I love the texture.”
