Voskevaz Winery, located in the Aragatsotn region at the foothills of Mount Aragats, Armenia's tallest peak, proudly carries a rich heritage. The winery masterfully blends tradition and innovation, using ancient karases (clay amphorae) and modern winemaking techniques to craft its unique wines.

Voskevaz Orange 2021, crafted from the indigenous Armenian Voskehat grape, embodies Armenia's rich winemaking heritage. Hand-harvested from 60-year-old vines rooted in the volcanic soils of the Aragatsotn region, 1,000 meters above sea level, each berry is carefully selected and fermented in traditional karases. The wine undergoes extensive aging in these ancient clay vessels before being refined in Armenian oak. Voskevaz Orange 2021 reveals vibrant aromas and flavors of apricot, peach, orange peel, dried yellow plum, and a hint of bergamot and lemon verbena. This full-bodied wine showcases a complex, balanced structure, refreshing acidity, and a lingering finish that promises impressive aging potential.

Voskevaz Winery

The oldest operating winery in Armenia, Voskevaz will soon be celebrating 100 years since its foundation. In Armenian, “Voskevaz” means "golden bunch". Once upon a time, it was Soviet Armenia’s most prestigious winery. Nowadays, Voskevaz is family-owned, producing exquisite wines of indigenous varieties. Voskevaz were among the first wineries to revive the Armenian tradition of karases, large clay amphorae.

Voskehat

Voskehat is the most famous Armenian white grape variety, known as “The Queen” of Armenian grapes. In Armenian, “Voskehat'' means “golden berry”. This indigenous grape is at least 4000 years old. In fact, archeological research showed that Voskehat wine was drunk in the ancient Urartu Kingdom. Voskehat makes stunning full-bodied wines with a creamy texture and an array of fruit and pastry flavours.
