This full-bodied red is crafted from rare, ancient Armenian Sireni grapes indigenous to the now-lost Artsakh region. This exquisite wine embodies the beauty of a heritage that, regrettably, will no longer grace our glasses for the foreseeable future. We are honored to offer the last batch of the latest vintage of Voskevaz Vinatge Sireni.

These grapes yield powerful wines with a robust structure. Voskevaz Vintage Sireni reveals expressive aromas of fresh and candied cranberries, cherries, raspberries and pomegranate. After meticulous manual harvest and thorough hand sorting, the fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks. It has a good balance with ripe, firm tannins and a long berry finish. This wine is great to pair with all types of meat and is especially delicious with duck and game.

Voskevaz Winery

The oldest operating winery in Armenia, Voskevaz will soon be celebrating 100 years since its foundation. In Armenian, “Voskevaz” means "golden bunch". Once upon a time, it was Soviet Armenia’s most prestigious winery. Nowadays, Voskevaz is family-owned, producing exquisite wines of indigenous varieties. Voskevaz were among the first wineries to revive the Armenian tradition of karases, large clay amphorae.

Sireni

Sireni, also known as Khndoghni, is an ancient Armenian red grape presumably native to the Artsakh region. It yields wines with expressive notes of red and black cherries, pomegranates and a robust structure supported by firm tannins. To tame the powerful character, Sireni is often aged in Armenian oak barrels. Sireni wines are deeply-coloured, full-bodied and rich in flavours, typically showing an excellent ageing potential.
